Working as a Floater/Extended Teacher at Acelero Learning will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and transferable skills towards a remarkable and rewarding career path. The hours of this position are 11am-5:30pm. You will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a Head Start classroom of children following the Head Start/Early Head Start operating day. Job Responsibilities:
• Planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school by developing their literacy and phonemic, print, and numeracy awareness, their understanding and use of language, their understanding and use of language, their understanding and use of increasingly complex and varied vocabulary, their appreciation of books, and their problem solving abilities.
• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Supporting the social and emotional development of children.
• Encouraging the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program and supporting the development of relationships between children and their families.
Job Requirements:
• Great communication and written skills
• The commitment and passion to work with children
• CDA credentials, or the willingness to enroll to complete within two years, or an Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in any field, or are enrolled in a program to obtain such a degree
