Working as a Floater/Extended Teacher at Acelero Learning will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and transferable skills towards a remarkable and rewarding career path. The hours of this position are 7:30 am-3:00 pm. You will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a Head Start classroom of children following the Head Start/Early Head Start operating day. Job Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school by developing their literacy and phonemic, print, and numeracy awareness, their understanding and use of language, their understanding and use of increasingly complex and varied vocabulary, their appreciation of books, and their problem-solving abilities.
• Establishes and maintains a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Supports the social and emotional development of children.
• Ensures communication and service coordination.
• Maintains on-going monitoring / self-assessment.
• Encourages the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program and supporting the development of relationships between children and their families.
• Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA credential preferred.
• Must have CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

This is a full-time position and the pay rate is $16.73 hourly for non-bilingual and $17.19 hourly for bilingual.
