  • HYBRID – If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.

Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

This position is responsible for developing and executing email content and communications that align with messaging for the Alumni Engagement Team that serves across Adtalem’s family of institutions in support of our strategic alumni communication objectives. This person will foster alumni community awareness and interest and build affinity among these key stakeholders, while capturing and conveying the unique Adtalem corporate identity, its institutions, and our organization’s commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and educational justice. Reporting to the senior manager of alumni communications, this position will ensure the quality of email campaign deployment, and support strategies to improve alumni engagement and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Write email copy that educates, engages, and elevates our brands and alumni communities.
  • Collaborate with alumni engagement team members and institutional content creators to ensure effective, on-brand storytelling.
  • Project manage email campaigns, including timeline development, list acquisition, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Build email campaigns that align with internal practices and email layouts that align with brand standards.
  • Monitor email performance to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations that help optimize future campaigns.
  • Support monthly alumni communications reporting and team quarterly reports.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, journalism required or a related field required and Master's Degree Preferred
  • 7 years of experience in digital marketing, email communications, project management, or related field required and previous experience managing internal marketing staff/team required and experience working with third party agencies preferred
  • Well-developed copywriting, editing, content creation and project management skills
  • Strong background in creating and implementing high level communications plans.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and mass email communications platforms such as Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot or MailChimp
  • A high attention to detail, with an interest in data analysis and user experience and an emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization.
  • Strong organizational, logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $59923.09 and $108334.92. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
