We are a privately owned company located in Hardeeville, SC and currently have an immediate opening for a proactive Office Manager. This position is ideal for someone with diverse administrative and financial skills who wants to play a central role in supporting an experienced, friendly staff. The Office Manager will be responsible for a broad set of tasks that support both daily operations and longer‑term financial reporting.
Typical responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely follow‑up.
- Handling Financials and Accounting tasks such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll administration and routine bookkeeping.
- Job cost data entry and maintenance, preparing and making bank deposits, and performing periodic account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Preparing Quarterly Tax Reports, coordinating workers' compensation claim management reports and assisting with related documentation.
- Performing typical Human Resources duties including onboarding, tracking employee records and assisting with compliance and benefits paperwork.
Qualifications and technical skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; clear, well‑organized reporting and correspondence are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Word and Excel for spreadsheet creation, reporting and document preparation.
- Experience with Peachtree / Sage accounting software and job costing is a strong plus and will be beneficial from day one.
