Art & Design Manager

As the Art and Design Manager, you will establish and maintain a cohesive design identity for education content, collaborating with UI/UX and design teams. This role is pivotal in centralizing content art and animation style across markets, ensuring consistency through defined guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Lead the design for all Education programs, overseeing the creative delivery through a diverse team of employees and contractors
Style Guidelines: Develop and maintain digital style guidelines for each program, covering character, color palette, fonts, etc.
Resource Management: Manage vendor and freelance resources, ensuring the delivery of quality work within set timelines and budgets.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute design and creative insights to content development strategies, staying abreast of the latest developments in K-12 Ed Tech.
Documentation: Develop creative documentation for business documents such as RFPs, business cases, and process documentation.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Innovative Design Opportunities: Define and manage new design opportunities to keep our programs cutting-edge.
- Creative Strategy: Establish creative strategy, budgets, and schedules for projects, ensuring efficiency in design delivery.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly across teams, collaborating with marketing, product, service delivery, and growth teams to develop consistent brand systems.
- Quality Assurance: Manage the development and ensure the quality and accuracy of creative deliverables from all resources within teams.
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with growth leadership to integrate design strategies into product, growth, and technology considerations.
Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (design, digital art, gaming design, etc.).
- Experience: Proven experience leading design for high-stakes programs in the global EdTech industry, managing teams with employees and contractors.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to articulate an exceptional vision for K-12 digital publishing possibilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of K-12 digital publishing trends and best practices.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across multiple project streams.
- Communication: Strong communicator and presenter with fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
