The Senior Business Development Manager B2G and Partnerships - GCC, Levant & Asia - will be responsible for growing revenue through B2G sales and and commercial partnerships across the whole of the GCC, Levant & Asia regions, promoting and selling the company's range of solutions and bespoke education products, and building a robust network of relationships.
Implement Business Development Strategy for B2G and partnerships in collaboration with Leadership
- Research new market opportunities
- Collaborate with the Bidding Manager to identify and qualify relevant RFPs to bid for in the GCC, Levant & Asia
- Identify potential partners to grow revenues and achieve strategic wins in GCC, Levant & Asia
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to increase Alef’s brand awareness and improve its thought leadership position amongst Government customers and partners in the GCC, Levant & Asia.
- Analyse market data to forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenues
- Regularly collaborate and develop sales cycle improvement initiatives
Lead Management and Deal Negotiation
- Generate healthy and sufficient leads through network building, participation in direct marketing events, referrals, RFP research, and other activities
- Lead and then collaborate with the Bid Manager (when hired) to create and conduct proposal presentations, and RFP responses.
- Ensure that Alef is made aware of applicable procurement processes and is subscribed to the most important tender sites, finding and reviewing tenders, using high quality systems and softwares.
- Lead on sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations with government customers and partners in GCC, Levant & Asia
- Coordinate product training and development
- Articulate Alef Education’s value proposition for government customers and partners in GCC, Levant & Asia through delivering and facilitating product demos, and technical and pedagogical workshops
- Act as the focal point of communication with government customers and partners in GCC, Levant & Asia through different communication channels (phone, in-person, and at conferences)
Customer Service and Retention
- Maintain relationships with existing customers, proactively identifying opportunities to improve service and retain customers
- Negotiate customer renewals and upgrades to contracts
- Maintain customer files, documenting key information to help maintain relationships and identify opportunities to meet evolving customer needs
- Collaborate frequently with cross-functional teams across Alef Education to ensure outstanding customer service and high satisfaction scores
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor or MBA with an extensive background in Education or related field
- At least 8 years of proven experience in B2G sales, ideally within GCC, Levant & Asia and the Edtech or publishing sectors, with a strong track record of building and managing public-private partnerships.
- Relationship-Building: Exceptional partnership and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with government ministries of education and institutional clients.
- Leadership: Strong collaborator and persuasive with the ability to inspire and influence both internal teams and external partners.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and strategic sales processes.
- Fluency in Arabic and English
