Prime Air is seeking an experienced fulfillment specialist to drive scale and process standardization at our launch sites. Reporting to the Sr. Ops Engineer in commercial operations, you will work with our site leads to ensure a smooth and efficient fulfillment process. You will play a critical role in delivering optimal experience by ensuring our customers receive what they need within the 60 minute promise. Your goal will be to solve complex problems with simple and practical solutions by developing a deep knowledge of the operation processes. You will strengthen standardization by identifying gaps and developing process improvement solutions through data and experience. You will create effective communication plans and provide visibility to KPIs to all impacted teams, driving overall process alignment. You will provide the site team knowledge and appropriate tools to improve performance, and act as a mentor, trainer, and subject matter expert to our fulfillment leaders and associates. Act as Prime Air’s ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) SME.


Key job responsibilities
• Lead and drive new feature integration and standardization, owning all integrations and optimizations of our fulfilment solutions in the launch sites
• Provide process expertise on engineering design defining material flow, conveyor positioning, equipment requirements and real estate implications from process requirements
• Plan and execute inventory strategies to optimize sales, in-stock rates, turns and inventory health for owned category. Monitor, analyze and own KPIs such as in-stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, and fast track.
• Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing unproductive inventory
• Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and drive improvements with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Develop and implement SOPs and training materials for the on- site fulfillment staff. Act as problem solving SME that gets escalated to.

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Logistics or related field of study, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a similar process development role, ideally in an industrial, logistics or production/manufacturing environment.
- E-Commerce/ Retail experience including demand planning, supply planning, sourcing, buying, forecasting.
- Expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other OE tools.
- Intermediate data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access, SQL.
- Project Management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in an ambiguous, fast-paced/deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, MSc or MEng (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent).
- Certified Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Advanced data analysis skills (e.g. SQL)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $126,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
