DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Strategy (ES) team is a global team composed of former AWS customer CXOs and other senior leaders from prominent companies. In their previous roles, these strategists led large-scale digital transformations and cloud migrations, overcoming institutional challenges. Now, they assist executives from other large enterprises in developing mental models and strategies to transform their businesses using the AWS cloud. Customer Insights, Strategy, & Operations (CISO) function within the Enterprise Strategy team is responsible for mechanisms, tools, engagement strategy, insights, communications, rhythm of business functions, and operations.

The CISO team is seeking a Program Manager to lead high-impact initiatives. The successful candidate will develop strategy, mechanisms, and lead cross-functional initiatives to maximize the impact of the Enterprise Strategy team. This will include working with both external (AWS customers, partners, analysts, event organizers, publishers) and internal AWS (Marketing, Sales, Partner, Solution Architecture, Professional Services, et al) stakeholders. This position will also work closely with the Global Head of Enterprise Strategy and CISO team leader to manage key organizational initiatives and executive engagement. As a key member of the CISO team, the Enterprise Strategy Program Manager will work closely with the ES Customer Engagement Lead, ES Content Manager, and ES Product Manager.

The right candidate will possess strong program management background and will have demonstrated experience working on cross-functional projects. The ability to think big, take initiative, influence senior executives, and independently operate with minimal day-to-day oversight will be critical. The successful individual will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities. This means the candidate can roll up their sleeves, dig in, and get the job done.

As the ES Program Manager, the individual will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus constraints. An ability to take projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
