DESCRIPTION

AWS Networking Telemetry and Engineering (NTE) team owns a data stream, which performs ingestion, enrichment and transformation of AWS traffic monitoring data. The traffic monitoring data is critical to current and future business needs of AWS customers. From traffic engineering, facilitating real-time analysis and resolution of network congestion events, to optimizing the cost of our network, and forecasting future capacity needs. NTE mission is to distribute quality traffic data to our customers through systems that provide visibility into the traffic utilization of the Amazon network.

We are looking for an exceptional Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build and automate our software systems that leverage data streaming solutions for devising the next generation of network monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will share our excitement about cloud computing and will be passionate about delivering high quality services spanning full SDLC lifecycle. You should have good knowledge of distributed systems with design and implementation experience, as well as the ability to lead and coach engineers. You will be customer centric and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent technical, business and communication skills.

NTE team is part of AWS Infrastructure Services which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse organization which consists of software engineers, network engineers, data engineers, scientists, and software managers. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
