DESCRIPTION

The Inventory & Fulfillment Technology (IFT) team is at the core of Kuiper’s global operations, driving the systems and processes that manage inventory planning, management, fulfillment, and reverse operations for the Customer Terminal (CT) business. We are responsible for developing scalable, innovative solutions to enable efficient inventory processes, ensuring we can meet customer demand seamlessly while optimizing reverse logistics to handle product returns and refurbishments. Our team is committed to making these systems more adaptable and flexible for emerging markets and businesses. Join us if you're passionate about building scalable solutions that tackle complex inventory challenges and deliver significant business impact.

IFT is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech (PMT) to lead the strategic design, implementation, and execution of high-visibility programs central to Kuiper’s global inventory planning efforts. In this role, you will work closely with both business and technical teams to break down complex inventory requirements, design solutions to streamline processes, and balance business needs with technical constraints to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in inventory management systems, working across diverse partner teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. If you have excellent problem-solving skills, strong judgment, the ability to influence stakeholders, and want to drive impact on Kuiper's global inventory operations, this is the role for you.

Key job responsibilities
• As the Principal PMT, you will be responsible for defining and delivering large-scale initiatives. This includes gathering system requirements from internal and external customers, writing technical specifications, managing project timelines from design through release, and overseeing successful launches.
• You will lead and coordinate efforts between internal teams and external partners to develop and implement inventory planning, fulfillment, and reverse logistics solutions for the CT business.
• You will drive the inventory placement and planning strategy, focusing on both initial placement and rebalancing of inventory to ensure optimal availability and minimize supply chain disruptions.
• You will make the appropriate trade-offs to select the right inventory allocation systems, balancing engineering feasibility with financial constraints to ensure sustainable and scalable solutions.
• You will bring a strong technical product management background, with experience in scalable inventory and reverse operations systems.
• You will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, overcoming ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
• As a Principal PMT, you will anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, make trade-offs, and balance the needs of the business with technical constraints.
• The ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable components, develop functional specifications, and deliver them on time is crucial.
• Success in this role requires maturity, sound judgment, negotiation skills, analytical capabilities, and leadership.

A day in the life
As an IFT employee at Kuiper, your day involves collaborating with Engineering teams to prioritize critical work, ensuring alignment with launch deadlines. You'll engage with customers and regional leaders across continents to define requirements, balancing global fulfillment needs with regional nuances. Coordinating with external technical teams is key, as you develop and execute a comprehensive plan to meet technical deliverables on time. Your role is a blend of technical oversight and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that each aspect of the global fulfillment strategy is ready for launch and optimized for success.
