Sr. HR PM - AWS UC PXT, AWS HR UC
Amazon
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the global cloud computing leader and the 200+ services that enable our customers to make the most of the cloud are built and supported by our Utility Computing (UC) organization. The UC organization is where the bulk of software solutions that enable customers to use AWS’s infrastructure are built and maintained, so it is largely comprised of engineering, science, and product talent. The People Experience Team (PXT) team that supports AWS’s UC org is looking for an HR Specialist to help drive RoB activities, own reporting and analytics, and help the HR function scale.
If you thrive on diving deep into data to find connections and drivers of people-related outcomes, developing frameworks and solutions that scale across almost 30K builders, and owning the activation of mechanisms and programs that you helped design and build, we’d like to hear from you!
This role partners closely with the Leadership PM, multiple HR Directors, HRBPs, Builder Partner teams in support of UC, and potentially, business leaders. You are a key contributor to broad scale business and PXT priorities – helping things work better/faster/smoother for everyone. You’ll use data and analytics to help PXT tell the story of where we’ve been, where we are, and where we need to go. You’ll lead and support multiple initiatives such as Goals, Business Reviews, Offsites and other internal mechanisms for the HR team, help drive strategic planning for UC HR initiatives such as the three Year and Annual Plans (PXT 3YP and OP1), workback plans, coordinate recognition and development programs, improve processes and develop and implement communiation and change management programs. You will utilize strong Program Management skills to create a well-managed program framework for initiatives and document best practices and toolkits to help HRBPs scale.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with the AWS People Analytics team to surface the right data that tells the story and drives action from business leaders
• Develop reliable, scalable reporting that considers the various organization’s needs within UC, but seeks to standardize where feasible
• Surface insights from the data and make recommendations of potential actions that the PXT team or leaders could take
• Support working backward plans and milestone tracking toward Talent Management events or deliverables
• Write and/or edit Amazon documents for Executive-level review
• Navigate multiple competing priorities and context switch regularly
• Develop regular status reports on ongoing initiatives that enable PXT leaders to quickly assess where they need to focus their time for maximum impact
• Build and maintain wikis, file shares, and other knowledge share tools
• Work independently with initiative and natural curiosity of how things work
• Proven track record of delivering results and measuring impact of programs
• Support a wide range of PXT projects, as needed
• Demonstrate a broad understanding of how HR works, end to end, in order to connect the dots and identify improvement opportunities at the macro level.
