US Federal Government customers are rapidly adopting Amazon Web Services as a way to build scalable and cost-effective web and IT solutions for their businesses. To do that effectively, they need training, and not just a couple of PowerPoint slides and a long lecture. We are developing highly technical courses with extensive hands-on labs, e-learning courses that can be accessed 24x7, and self-paced labs that get customers deep into AWS technologies.
Here's your chance to join our team working in the highly visible role of Program Manager. In this role, you will orchestrate the day to day operations of our training team.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to take the initiative to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and autonomously, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, switch gears at a moment's notice, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Key job responsibilities
As a Training Program Manager on this team, you will have the opportunity to:
• Schedule training classes for the U.S. Federal Government including the Department of Defense/National Security communities across the United States. This includes arranging venues, coordinating instructors and ordering training materials.
• Liaise with government training POCs and students to accept their registrations, confirm bookings and manage cancellations/changes.
• Manage inbound communications including customer concerns.
• Assist as required with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions including working with customers to identify funding streams
• Review class evaluation, compile results for reports
• Support with Training Cases received from external customers & partners with queries and information requests
• Manage the day-to-day support of the Authorized Training Partner Business including liaising with partner instructors during their ramp-up period, collecting reports, evaluations from Training Partners and providing the Training team metrics on their performance.
• Keep up-to-date with the different platforms and tools we work with, such as SharePoint, Instructor Calendar, various tracking and reporting spreadsheets
• Liaise with Business Development Managers to support onsite training engagements: scheduling instructors, liaising with legal department regarding contracting, liaising with customer about student registrations and class logistics, supporting the AR team with customer setup and billing.
• Liaise with Training Regional Managers to support instructor enablement, ramp-up and to manage the instructor’s weekly schedule
• Liaise with customer representatives to keep training calendars in sync in both classified and unclassified environments.
• Support internal enablement programs e.g. scheduling and coordinating presenters for internal training classes, scheduling and coordinating internal online training courses, tracking attendance and collecting feedback.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and SharePoint are desired.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Previous experience with CRM software (e.g Salesforce) and BI tools (e.g Tableau)
- Experience in following legal and finance processes related to a training engagements, such as contract and NDA issuance and signature, PO management (both incoming and outgoing), invoicing and billing.
- Knowledge of US Federal Government and/or Department of Defense communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
