Position Title: Software Dev Engineer III
Location: Seattle, Washington
Position Responsibilities:
Drive the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded software applications, tools and systems using embedded systems programming, object-oriented design, C/C++ and Python. Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal stakeholders, and translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust, scalable, supportable embedded solutions that work well between a range of complex systems. Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle, end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Collaborate with partner teams and execute cross-disciplinary product development with a high bar for rigor and technical excellence. Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance, scalability and security. Provide technical direction to the team, and mentor and grow employees.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1.) providing technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle; and (2.) designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded software applications, tools and systems. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
