The Data Center Community People Experience Team (PXT) is looking for a program manager to support our Work-Based Learning Program. This global program creates the foundation for builders with limited to no relevant experience or education to start their careers in tech, across a myriad of Data Center Technician positions.
As a PXT Program Manager for the Work-Based Learning Program, you will be responsible for the programmatic tracking, auditing, maintenance, and optimization. You will report to the global Sr. Program Leader, and will manage relationships with key business, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Finance Stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Focus areas include:
- Collaborating with Data Center Operations global recruiting on cohort hiring status, timing, and addressing pipeline gaps.
- Headcount demand collection and planning in partnership with Workforce Planning, Recruiting, and Sr. Program Leader
- Maintaining program milestones, tracking, and resources to set internal and external stakeholders up for success.
- Implementing tools and mechanisms to automate program tracking and tasks, and help scale program
- Working with stakeholders globally, in all regions and at all levels of leadership up to Director
- Working strategically while diving deep to ensure high quality execution.
- Collaborating with a diverse set of internal teams to achieve success.
In this role, you will demonstrate many of the Amazon Leadership Principles, including Learn & Be Curious, Backbone, Invent & Simplify, Earn Trust, Think Big and Deliver Results. You will integrate the PXT Mission to “build a workplace for Amazonians to invent on behalf of customers” but supporting growth in the most optimal locations and inventing approaches that scale with the future of Amazon headcount needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in HR, program or project management, or relevant Amazon experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- 3+ years of work experience with solid career progression in the field of talent acquisition, expansion planning or vendor management, or a combination, or relevant Amazon experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with both tech and non-tech teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with process improvement and stakeholder management
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Bias for action; able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Innovative; loves to challenge status quo and reinvent on behalf of our customers
- Intermediate to advanced project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $94,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
