About The Role

The Systems Administrator will work closely with HR & DevOps teams to provision access to tools, networks, services and other resources at Apna. The systems administrator will be responsible for

• Help with onboarding and off boarding users by providing support for laptop and account provisioning as well as access to internal and external tools
• Automate routine tasks and ensure that all single points of failures are eliminated in the IT infrastructure
• Design and implement continuous monitoring of critical IT infrastructure like VPN, proxies, network gateways etc.
• Design and maintain asset management systems and ensure that IT asset inventory is always up-to-date
• Deploy endpoint protection systems for phones and laptops to enhance protection of endpoints.
• Rollout self-service systems in collaboration with HR and DevOps teams to enable self-service access provisioning.
• Focus on cost optimization and ensure that cost saving, performance, availability, reliability, and scalability are balanced
• Liaise with 3rd part vendors for procurement of IT infrastructure and serve as a Single point of contact for IT related issues in the organization
  
  

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

• Passionate about systems administration and has a pragmatic approach to tackling support requests.
• Is able to balance Ad hoc tasks with longer term requirements
• Independent, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration
• Hands on Experience administering Windows & Linux servers
• Expert level networking skills and is able to setup and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, proxies and storage systems
• Hands on Experience with Enterprise antivirus software and endpoint protection systems like Symantec, McAfee etc.
• Hands-on Experience with Backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard organization data
• Exposure to ITSM principles & policies, experience implementing the same in at least one organization
• Experience participating in on-call rotation.
