Break/Fix Technician Intern (PAID INTERNSHIP)

About the role

Passionate about network operations? Your next opportunity will assist our NOC team with various network tasks. We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Break/Fix Technician Intern who can help with configuration, installation, and maintenance of equipment and various devices. Based in our modern Las Vegas NOC you will be immersed in every aspect of our network operations environment.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Operations Team, you’ll mainly be involved with:

• Installing and maintaining of network equipment and configuring various devices.
• Meeting with customers regarding LAN/ WLAN performance and discussing maintenance activities.
• Performing cable tests and running network cables.
• Providing ad-hoc support and services in support of WLAN at various locations in the Las Vegas Area.
• Identifying LAN/WLAN performance issues.
• Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to its required operating condition.
• Troubleshooting to the component level.

What you’ll bring

Think you could make a difference here? We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the welfare of our team. You’ll want to make an impact from day one. You will also have the following:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer science or a related field
• 2nd year undergraduate or above with a minimum 3.5 GPA
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently, understanding network topologies and using diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with cloud computing principles and virtualization technologies.
• Computer science certification a plus (CompTIA, CCNA, etc.)
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in teams.
