Description

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist with an automation focus to join our growing team. This mid-level position is built for someone who delivers excellent end-user support and also thinks like a builder—always looking for ways to use scripting, workflow tools, and AI to make support faster, more consistent, and more scalable. You will work within a Microsoft-based environment including Azure AD, Entra ID, and Intune, handling day-to-day support while contributing to projects that modernize how our IT team operates.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-directed, and has a genuine interest in AI and automation as practical tools—not just buzzwords. You don't need to be a developer, but you should be someone who enjoys writing a script to solve a problem or experimenting with an AI tool to see how it can save time. The position is hybrid, with approximately 20–40% in-office time in Sandy, Utah. Candidate should live close to the Sandy, Utah area.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver helpdesk and desktop support for end users across Windows and macOS environments.

· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.

· Administer and manage user identities and access using Azure AD and Entra ID.

· Deploy, manage, and support company devices through Microsoft Intune, ensuring consistent configurations and updates.

· Manage on-boarding and off-boarding workflows, including device setup and permissions management.

· Write and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python) and workflows (Power automate, n8n, or similar) to automate routine IT tasks.

· Use AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot and other LLM-based assistants to improve troubleshooting speed, generate documentation, and support knowledge management.

· Keep internal documentation accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.

· Set up and support telephony platforms such as Five9, RingCentral, or ZoomPhone.

· Collaborate with IT leadership on projects that improve automation, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Why Join Us

· Growth potential: Develop real expertise in cloud administration, automation, and AI-augmented IT operations.

· Balanced work: Enjoy a hybrid role combining remote flexibility and in-office collaboration.

· Supportive environment: Join a collaborative IT team that values initiative, experimentation, and smart problem-solving.

· Ownership: You'll have a voice in how we improve our tools, processes, and support experience.

· This isn't just a support role—it's a launchpad. Team members who embrace automation and AI consistently advance into senior and specialized positions.

Requirements

· High School Diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

· 2–5 years of professional experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Entra ID, and Intune administration.

· Experience managing Windows-based systems and supporting Mac devices.

· Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

· Practical experience with scripting (PowerShell and/or Python) and at least one workflow automation platform (Power Automate, Zapier, n8n, or similar).

· Experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) in a professional context, or a demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply them.

· Strong problem-solving skills with clear, professional communication and thorough documentation habits.

· Experience with telephony or contact-center systems (Five9, RingCentral, or ZoomPhone) is a plus.

· Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working independently—you take ownership and follow through.

· Cellphone or personal device to receive MFA (multi-factor authentication) texts or calls.

· Have an internet connection that’s adequate for their job, a minimum of 10Mbps down.
