Job Description:
The Senior Director, Business Development will report to the VP of Business Development and leverage extensive sales experience and deep industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities with fintech originators, investment firms, banks, and credit unions. This role involves consulting with prospective clients to understand their needs and showcasing how Goal can offer comprehensive solutions that drive meaningful impact and foster long-term client relationships. Ideal candidates will bring many years of experience in consumer financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Draft a prospecting plan that includes opportunities ranked by opportunity type and size
- Make a personal commitment to daily, weekly and monthly outreach activities to produce a robust pipeline of conversations with meaningful prospects
- Effectively move a prospect through the pipeline from qualification, initial consult, proposal, contract negotiation and implementation
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner and always conduct yourself with integrity.
- Generate interest in Goal Solutions by scheduling; introductory calls, system demos, and following up with relevant action items
- Continue positive ongoing communications and relationship building throughout long sales cycles
- Effectively use salesforce.com to track all sales activities and leads
- Coordinate with Marketing Director to target outreach within identified markets
- Be a courteous team player that interacts positively with others around the company
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Other Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of unsecured consumer lending, finance and loan servicing marketplace
- 3+ years of direct sales and industry relevant operations/product management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A self-motivated personality that is driven by success and can remain positive throughout the sales cycle
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented and adaptable to change
- Able to travel 25%+ as needed
- Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional integrity
