Compensation: $49-58/hr

Avenica is currently hiring for an Actuarial Analyst position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing reporting and ultimate loss projections for current and prior-year claims catastrophes.

Responsibilities of the Actuarial Analyst:

  • Pull, transform, and reconcile an updated historical dataset
  • Using the historical dataset, select factors and measures by event type and other attributes
  • Develop solutions to current challenges with the process
  • Build additional capabilities to address gaps in the process
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure the updated process works well
  • Document and communicate updates and changes to the process and their impact

Requirements of the Actuarial Analyst:

  • Bachelor degree is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US; Avenica is unable to provide sponsorship at this times
  • CAS or ACAS credential
  • 5+ years of experience in property/casualty actuarial disciplines
  • Fully Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic Application).
  • Proficiency in SQL server; Working knowledge of R or Python is a plus
