We are looking for a Senior Teacher Operations Manager for our Online Teaching team in the heart of buzzing Berlin!

You will be:

• Overseeing the execution of new hiring strategies to enable long term hiring success and ensure a healthy pipeline and supply of teachers
• Overseeing the teams responsible for sourcing and recruiting exceptional language teachers to join our online tutoring program
• Developing strong partnerships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (Product, Design, UX, etc) and relevant parts of the business
• Optimizing our teacher scheduling process to ensure a supply of 25-50k monthly classes
• Overseeing the automation of our teacher operations to promote efficiency and operational speed
• Ideating and executing new strategies to maintain low teacher turnover
• Oversee other ops areas e.g. onboarding, teacher reliability, terminations, policies, teacher activity etc
• Manage the weekly and monthly team ceremonies

You are:

• An organized, self-starter who manages multiple projects effectively and with ease
• Tech savvy, with a preferred knowledge of Airtable, Miro, Tableau, etc
• Able to lead a team and drive results
• A team player with exceptional communication skills to interact across diverse backgrounds

You have:

• Experience in a similar role
• Leadership experience
• A natural problem solving ability and use creative solutions to unblock challenges
• Experience mentoring junior team members
• The ability to think quickly, multitask and prioritize
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• An ability to communicate with clarity
• The ability to keep calm and apply rational and logical thinking to a wide range of scenarios
• Experience working in a fast paced ‘startup’ environment
• Excellent English skills, while other languages are a plus
• University degree in Linguistics or a related field
