About the role:

As a Senior Security Engineer within Blackbaud’s corporate cybersecurity organization, you will be responsible for design, development, engineering, integration, and customization of cybersecurity software and solutions.

This role requires the Security Engineer to be a security advocate, self-starter, collaborator, proven software and security engineer, and a technical leader that can influence technical discussions and decisions across the enterprise. This role will focus on engineering cyber capabilities and automation/engineering between solutions that result in improved efficiency and effectiveness to provide security capabilities as a service.

What you'll be doing:

• Partnering with various functional teams across Blackbaud to securely design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions.

• Determining the most effective way to leverage our security services and present them in a technology agnostic API

• Eliciting and listening to user experience to appropriately drive improvement and efficiency in Cybersecurity solutions

• Engineering communication between systems using API’s to improve systems’ integrations.

• Engineering cross-platform with multiple coding languages for Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions

• Partner with Security Solution Architects and Security Enterprise Architects

• Working closely with other engineering resources to mature Cyber systems supporting the Threat & Vulnerability Management capabilities.

What we'll want you to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant degree or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years’ experience in developer, software, security engineering roles

• 3+ years’ experience leveraging API’s for system integration.

• 3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity role

• Experience with more than one relevant language like Python, Java, .NET / C#, Ruby, TypeScript, NodeJS, Go, Swift

• Experience with engineering RESTful, HTTP, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs

• Experience with JSON, XML, YAML

• Possesses effective communication and collaboration skills

• Experience working in matrix teams and solo projects/efforts

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and high stress situation

The starting base pay is $101,900.00 to $132,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
