About the Role:

The Vice President of Sales is a pivotal leader within the BookNook Revenue team, tasked with driving the success of a high-performing sales team. This role focuses on identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to provide High-Impact Tutoring services while collaborating closely with the Chief Revenue Officer to establish, achieve, and surpass ambitious sales targets.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of guiding sales teams to exceed expectations, fostering accountability, and achieving exceptional results. A deep understanding of the EdTech industry and its unique landscape is essential to thrive in this role.

The Vice President of Sales reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

What you will be doing:

  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring a team of effective individual contributors.

  • Drive Market Insights: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Impact teams to translate market feedback into actionable strategies and improvements.

  • Regional Strategy and Execution: Provide leadership and guidance in regional territory planning and implementation, working closely with the sales team to achieve goals.

  • Ensure Forecast Accuracy: Maintain a forecast accuracy of +/-10%, demonstrating strategic planning and execution skills.

  • Optimize Customer Experience: Partner with Program Delivery to enhance the customer journey and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Pipeline and Performance Management: Regularly measure and monitor the sales pipeline and individual contributor performance to ensure alignment with goals.

  • Coach and Support Sales Excellence: Train and mentor team members on sales methodologies and provide executive sponsorship for critical sales cycles.

  • Showcase Analytical and Data-Driven Decision-Making: You effectively monitor sales pipeline health, evaluate performance metrics, and make data-informed decisions to optimize outcomes.

  • Demonstrate Exceptional Coaching Skills: Your ability to mentor and guide individual contributors ensures their professional growth and equips them to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Communicate with Influence: You have excellent interpersonal and executive communication skills, enabling you to provide sponsorship during critical sales cycles and foster trust with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Focus on Growth Opportunities: You actively identify and capitalize on expansion opportunities within existing accounts, driving additional revenue while maintaining customer satisfaction.
