About the Roles
This position will be a hybrid role, flexing between Sales Development and Inside Sales; the breakdown of the work will be based on the volume of inbound applications and outbound marketing and sales efforts.
Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) position is designed for an innovative and adaptable team player who is experienced in building relationships with decision makers at the school and district level. This role is critical to the success of the Breathe For Change B2B sales strategy.
Rather than trying to close deals, their work revolves around generating and qualifying new leads and moving them through the sales pipeline. This includes cultivating relationships with warm leads generated through the RFP process as well as identifying opportunities to develop relationships with cold leads through outbound communications. As a result, the SDR will spend much of their time reaching out to potential clients through the early stages of the sales funnel, either preparing prospects to speak with the B2B Sales Lead, or working to understand their intentions in purchasing wellness and SEL tools for their school or district. The SDR will pass sales qualified leads (SQL) to the B2B Sales Lead, who will build upon the initial groundwork of the SDR to convert the lead into a B2B customer.
The Inside Sales Representative role is responsible for ensuring the Breathe For Change movement continues to grow by inspiring and supporting passionate educators and community leaders to register for our trainings and courses. They will nurture inbound leads throughout the sales funnel, including preparing, executing and following up on sales calls with applicants, enrolling in our trainings and courses, and generating referrals.
The majority of time is spent conducting 20-minute, personalized phone interviews with prospective applicants, most of whom are educators. They can expect to be on calls 8+ hours per day during peak season. This team member will work closely with the small, collaborative and entrepreneurial Breathe For Change sales team to strategize how best to generate additional inbound leads, improve lead quality and increase conversion rates across the funnel.
