We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Midlevel Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance team, contributing to both manual and automated testing efforts within an agile Scrum environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Comprehend business aspects and user behaviors to ensure system performance aligns with expectations.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
  • Design and develop automated test cases using Selenium and Cypress.
  • Establish high-quality automation test engineering best practices, strategies, and principles.
  • Identify and implement more efficient ways to automate testing features.
  • Execute and manage manual test cases, capturing, analyzing, and documenting results.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts by developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts.
  • Work closely within a Scrum team, collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in test planning activities, defining testing scope, strategy, and resource requirements.
  • Create and execute SQL scripts for comprehensive testing.
  • Update and optimize existing queries written by peers and database developers.
  • Understand and analyze code in Stored procedures and DB Views.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, prioritizing and resolving issues collaboratively.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to testing methodologies.
  • Share expertise with team members, providing guidance on both manual and automated testing best practices.

What we hope you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical filed, or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience required
  • Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to understand complex topics.
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages (Java for Selenium or Cypress).
  • Experience contributing to a test automation suite using tools like Cypress or Selenium with BDD using Gherkin.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with effective communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • Dedication to working in a collaborative team environment following defined process standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with advanced data-driven testing techniques using diverse data sources (Excel, CSV, SQL databases).
  • Practical experience in automated API testing using tools like Rest Assured, SoapUI, Postman.
  • Relevant work experience in testing applications and reports.
  • Experience with Maven, Git/GitHub/Bitbucket, and version control processes.
  • Excellent skills in working with database queries.
  • Ability to understand data mappings, look-ups, and transformation logic in design documents.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information and arrive at sound analysis and judgment.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including assessing data flows and identifying root causes to issues.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

The compensation for this position is $100,000.00
