We're hiring a Professional Development Specialist!
The Professional Development Specialist will primarily be responsible for delivery of virtual learning programs, including, but not limited to, new educator orientation (NEO), eCDA, and annually required teacher training. Virtual facilitation includes training delivery, classroom set-up and management, and facilitating flipped learning discussions and assignments. Each Professional Development Specialist will also be assigned additional rotating duties including, but not limited to, training design, leading training projects, data management and reporting, on-site training, and managing cohorts of learners.
What you will be doing in this role:
Successfully deliver virtual learning experiences to large groups across time zones, including webinar room set-up, manage attendance, effective delivery, facilitate conversation, and support learners.
Proficiently use virtual learning platforms, troubleshoot basic issues, and create solutions.
Provide a learning experience that is effective and supportive, ensuring learner meets and learning outcomes.
Monitor and support new educations progress through orientation. Create a welcoming and supportive experience.
Facilitate cohort webinars and/or calls, forums, and individual calls with all participants.
Guide eCDA students through completion of documentation requirement of the Council for Professional Recognition such as the development of the Professional Portfolio and filing their CDA Credential Application to earn their credential.
Keep records up-to-date, track student progress, submit data in a timely manner, communicate with student supervisors, and contribute to program evaluation.
Implement training design principles and follow internal adult learning standards to create training materials.
Organize and facilitate in person trainings, as needed, including new center opening as assigned.
Build relationships with center leaders, offering support, guidance, and resources.
Contribute to or lead additional projects, as assigned.
What we hope you will bring to this role:
Three years’ experience in early childhood classrooms, experience with teacher supervision or training; prior experience as an early care and education program leader and as a trainer or facilitator required.
BA or BS degree in ECE or closely related field; (or AA with education plan to complete in Three years) required.
Five years’ experience in early childhood classrooms, with at least three years’ experience with teacher supervision or training as a program leader, two years experiences as a trainer or facilitator preferred
BA or BS degree in ECE or closely related field preferred
Must have proven ability with online learning and webinars. Proven skill in training design and delivery. Quick learner, flexible skillset, ability to manage multiple projects at once, resourceful and resilient. Highly skilled communicator, and intermediate level experience and skill with technology required. Skilled in MS office. Excellent organization skills required.
Experience in Project Management preferred.
This role will be based out of a home office, with travel up to 25% of the time.
Must be able to set up training rooms and sit at a desk for many hours.

The compensation for this role is $58,000.
