State and Regional Outreach Senior Manager

Location:Fully Remote, USA

Job Overview:

The State and Regional Outreach Senior Manager will manage a team of Education Department Relations Managers and Regional and State Organization Outreach Specialists. These roles serve as Lexia’s primary liaisons to state departments of education, regional education service centers, and non-governmental, statewide education organizations that influence state policymaking and district purchasing decisions.

This role will also be responsible for the design and execution of internal strategic plans intended to raise the visibility of Lexia Learning within target states by partnering with sales and marketing professionals to ensure productive relationships with the entities listed above.

Anticipation and identification of educational challenges and opportunities are critical. We are looking for someone who has a positive can-do attitude, is highly motivated to learn, and a creative thinker who can provide practical approaches to support a quickly changing organization. This is a home office position that can be located anywhere in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage two critical state-level focused teams, Education Department Relations and Regional Office and State Organization Outreach Managers

  • Collaborate with Sales and internal divisions to develop strategic state-level plans to increase sales across Lexia’s portfolio in priority states and the regions within them;

  • Coordinate state-level sales activities with the Professional Learning Services Account Executive Manager

  • Play an integral role in conference strategy;

  • Represent Lexia Learning at conference and partner events;

  • Assist in the development of messaging and positioning;

  • Regular briefs with Sales and internal teams.

  • Communicate formally and informally with the sales leadership team

  • Support government relations activities as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education; Advanced degree preferred.

  • Knowledge and expertise in Education policy, with literacy and language policy preferred.

  • Experience working in state or regional education organizations is preferred.

  • Minimum years of 4+ years of team management preferred

  • Experience and proven ability to work and thrive in a cross-functional role, with success in aligning goals and objectives, and balancing competing interests and priorities.

  • Proven track record of interpreting relevant insights from various resources to spot trends.

  • Proven organization, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional level of communication skills, including public speaking, presenting, and writing.

  • Confidence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
