The Financial Aid Administrator will execute transactional and complex financial aid-related activities for new and returning learners. Responsibilities include information gathering, data entry into financial aid systems, and other compliance related functions. The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment is critical for success in this role. This is primarily an internal role with little learner/customer interaction, though some phone interaction with lenders and internal partners will be necessary at times.
This position is considered hybrid with expectation to be onsite two days a week at the Capella Tower located in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Duties
- Production Work
- Review and determine financial aid eligibility and award amounts based on submitted documentation from the learner
- Process Financial Aid applications, adjustments, and other Financial Aid related functions
- Complete required work assigned by the Work Distributor accurately and within predetermined departmental service levels and metrics
- Apply updates and policy changes accurately and timely
- Workflow and capacity management
- Provide occasional phone/chat support to assist the financial aid contact center staff
- Assist supervisors in calling out potential areas of concern related to SLAs and recommend reallocation of resources
- Process improvement identification and implementation
- Inform supervisors and seniors of gaps related to particular worktypes in the system
- Internal customer relationship management
- Work cross functionally with other teams and departments as needed to ensure an exceptional learner experience

- Maintain and understand compliance with all Title IV rules and regulations
- Learn and leverage financial aid systems such as People Soft, TotalView, Perceptive Content, Commonline Origination and Disbursement, National Student Loan Data Systems, and Central Processing Systems
- Ability to consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality goals on all duties as assigned
Work Experience
- 1+ year of experience in financial aid, student records, or transferable administration/processing experience, such as mortgage/insurance claims processing or data entry. Candidates with BBAY experience are highly encouraged to apply
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or 2 years of commensurate experience required.
