Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Extracurricular and Enrichment Coordinator (Electives, Sports & Trips) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating and managing a dynamic and engaging programme of electives, sports activities, and educational visits for our students, fostering their physical, social, and personal development.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Electives Coordination:
• Organise and manage a diverse range of student electives, ensuring a balance of academic, creative, and practical options.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement new elective courses.
• Monitor student enrolment and participation in electives, ensuring appropriate class sizes and resources.


Sports and Activities Programme:
• Design, implement, and manage a diverse sports activities programme for students, both within and outside of the school day, catering to both boarding and day students.
• Plan, implement, and manage a range of social activities and trips for students during weekends and evenings.
• Ensure risk assessments are completed and approved for all trips and activities and shared with all staff accompanying students on a trip or activity.
• Develop a competitive sports programme in collaboration with other CGS Schools and independent schools in London.
• Maintain a database to track student participation in sports programmes, with a focus on healthy lifestyles.


Trips Coordination:
• Act as the Trips Coordinator, planning and supporting all educational visits.
• Assist teaching staff in planning and organising educational trips and activities.
• Stay updated on current legislation related to trips and activities and advise staff accordingly.
• Ensure the school provides students with high-quality visits, P.E./sports, and social activities programmes.
• Ensure rigorous risk assessments and trip procedures are in place.


Additional responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage P.E. provision for compulsory school-age students.
• Collaborate with student committees and boarding house committees to gather student feedback.
• Provide reception cover (rota) and boarding house cover as required.
• (Optional) Accommodation in the boarding house (with boarding duties) may be available.

REPORTING LINE
This position reports directly to the Assistant Head of Boarding or a designated senior leader within the framework established by the Headteacher.

This role is offered on a term time only plus 10 days contract , which means you will get all of the school holidays off (bar 10 days). We are able to offer accommodation at the school during term time - you will either pay an accommodation allowance or offer support with boarding shift hours to offset this payment.
