ABOUT CATS GLOBAL SCHOOLS

CATS Global Schools is leading provider of pre-university academic courses and English language courses in the UK and USA. We provide programmes including A Level, IB and University Foundation, as well as English Language Study and High School Diploma, to a growing number of international students seeking to win places at UK and American universities.


We operate several different educational brands: CATS College in Cambridge, Worthgate School in Canterbury and Guildhouse School in London; CATS Academy in Boston; Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) and Stafford House English language schools and study holidays, as well as Bosworth Independent School, St Michael’s School and Bournemouth Collegiate School.


OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
This is a full-time role based in the Admissions Team in Cambridge. The post holder will be required to process direct student enquiries and applications efficiently, issue visa-supporting paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and ensure smooth pre-arrival for all new students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent administration and organisation skills who can build relationships quickly and likes to partner with colleagues from the CATS Global Sales Teams, overseas offices and colleges. They will provide a fast, efficient and welcoming service for all customers, internal and external, proactively pursuing student recruitment and conversion. From time to time the post holder will be required to undertake project work as directed by the Head of Admissions.
During peak seasons and busy periods, the post holder may be required to work weekends with prior notice and agreement.


REPORTS TO
You will be directly responsible to the Deputy Head of Admissions.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Key Responsibilities:
• Process direct student applications from initial enquiry to arrival (including relevant stages within this), ensuring turn-around times and accuracy are within agreed standards.
• Take overall responsibility for an area within the department and manage set aspects of the Admissions process in that area. This includes effective engagement with and support of the CATS Global Sales Team with conversion campaigns as required.
• Act as the Admissions specialist for that area and maintain effective relationships with relevant external stakeholders.
• Act as the support for other areas within the Admissions Team, providing cover for the Senior Admissions Officer during absences and extra support in busy periods.
• Provide assistance and support to the Agent Services Team in Hong Kong as directed to ensure the team as a whole meets agreed targets.
• Prepare accurate and timely paperwork, including but not limited to offer packs, pre-arrival information and UK/US visa supporting documents (CAS, I-20, COE).
• Pro-actively manage pre-arrival processes for the new incoming students in close cooperation with college teams, ensuring accurate visa and arrival information is captured and excellent customer service is delivered
• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of student databases and agent information, both internal and external compliance purposes.
• Support new system development and business projects through different stages as directed by the Line Manager.
• Maintain positive and constructive relations with colleagues across the CATS Global Schools Group.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the relevant Admissions software, processes and databases.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the CATS Global Schools Group portfolio of colleges, courses and entry requirements to provide accurate advice and assessment to applicants.
• Maintain a good knowledge of compliance issues and requirements, including UKVI and SEVIS regulations, as well as OfSTED, OfS, UCAS and other requirements pertinent to the education industry.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education
• Educated to A level or above.


Experience
• Experience of CRM systems/customer databases. (Desirable)
• Experience of working in a global business and/or education environment. (Desirable)
• Experience in a distance sales environment. (Desirable)
• Knowledge of the UKVI Points Based System and US SEVP. (Desirable)


Skills
• Strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, to prioritise
tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• A high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Competent user of Microsoft office package.
• Ability to speak a foreign language (Desirable)
