Our Assistant Welfare & Accommodation Manager is a great opportunity to grown your management skills, honing your ability to work with students, within an exciting and varied role over the summer holidays.
At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6,000 students (ages 8-17) from overseas during the summer to help them improve their English. Students stay for 7-14 days, taking part in a rich academic, activities and excursions programme.
Our students stay in our school residences, supported by our dedicated team of Student Welfare Team. Much like House Parents, our Student Welfare Team are on hand to support all pastoral and well-being needs, ensuring every student feels safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their time with us
Our Assistant Welfare & Accommodation Manager supports the Student Welfare Team and Welfare and Accommodation Manager as their deputy.
Locations: Bloomsbury, Central London
Contracts: 4-6 weeks, from around 24th June to mid-August. Since you will be providing wrap-around care for our students, it is necessary be residential for the duration of the contract. Good news! You don’t need to be local to our school locations to apply!
Hours: 55 hours per week over 6 days. This is a fully immersive management role. We provide you with full-board accommodation during your contract.

Pay: £671.55 per week plus + *holiday entitlement
Emergency Phone – up to *£40 per week (£20 per night payments for emergency phone cover – anticipated 2x per week)
Loyalty Payments (if applicable) - £20 - 43 per week
*paid at the end of your contract

Confidence, with a good understanding how to work professionally.
Management: You will assist in writing weekly rotas, liaise with group leaders and the welfare team, leading meetings and help manage the overall pastoral needs for your centre
Safeguarding is a big part of the job, and we take it seriously. If successful we will conduct full pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, in line with our safer recruitment policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024. You will act as Designated Safeguarding Leader and managing all Health & Safety aspects of the programme
Administration. You’ll assist with allocating accommodation, managing transfers and the supervision rota. Ensure that general housekeeping duties are met, while liaising with Group Leaders to provide a safe, fun, and smooth-running stay with Stafford House.
Great Organisation. You will help coordinate airport transfers, manage catering needs for students
Being Supportive. You’ll support your Student Welfare Team. Additionally, providing pastoral support to ensure their holistic well-being and welfare.
Be a great Communicator with a good level of spoken and written English.
Energetic. Working 55 hours per week over a 6-day week. This is a fully immersive working experience.
You must already have the right to work in the UK on a full-time basis
You must be available to attend our Management Training Weekend in June 2025
