Our Senior Teacher role is ideal if you’re looking to earn while developing your EFL leadership skills.
As a Senior Teacher, you’ll play an essential part in supporting our Assistant Director of Studies, Director of Studies, and wider teaching team. Your guidance and expertise will help ensure smooth, high-quality lesson delivery and a collaborative, positive academic environment.
With small class sizes, provided teaching materials, ongoing CPD, regular observations and appraisals, you’ll be supported by an experienced and dedicated academic management team throughout your contract.
We are a leading provider in summer school study holidays. We welcome over 6,000 young learners (aged 8–17) from around the world each summer. Our mission is to help students improve their English through engaging classroom lessons and a lively program of activities and excursions. Locations:
- Bournemouth, Cambridge, Northampton, Uxbridge, Oakham, Canterbury, York - option of residential or non-residential contract
- Central London - you must be residential to work in Central London
Contracts:
We offer 4–6 week contracts running between 20 June and 9 August 2026, depending on location. You must be available throughout July. Dates can be a little flexible.
Optional full-board accommodation is available at most centres.
Why not experience a new location this summer?
Hours:
42 hours per week over 6 days (usually Monday to Saturday). This consists of 15 or 30 hours teaching + additional duties such as assisting the DoS, student welfare time and leading excursions/activities as required
Pay:
£624.59 per week + holiday entitlement for residential positions
£664.55 per week + holiday entitlement for non-residential positions

Loyalty Payments (if applicable) - £20 per week
*Paid at the end of your contract
**If you would prefer shorter hours over the summer or just to teach, please see our EFL teaching role, which offers more flexibility (16+ hours per week)
CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL or a PGCE in Primary or English Literature or MFL (essential)
3 years' full-time teaching experience
Previous experience of working in a summer school is highly desirable
Degree or equivalent preferred
DELTA/ DipTESOL or equivalent MA qualification desirable
Experience of teaching using Interactive Whiteboards and Digital Teaching Platform is preferred
Experience of teaching Exam Preparation for Trinity GESE is desirable
Experience of working with young learner
Be collaborative, have a passion for teaching and EFL
Have a working knowledge of safeguarding practices
You must already have the right to work in the UK.
