JOB OVERVIEW
To deliver outstanding teaching and learning within the Summer Courses offered June-August 2026 to maximise learner progress and outcomes in meeting both student and college’s goals. Please note that we are only looking for specialists in the areas of: Animation, Game Design, Fashion Styling, Fine Art, Branding & Advertising, and Film Making. You will be directly responsible to the Holiday Course Coordinator and the role will be based at CSVPA Cambridge.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

Teaching & Learning:
▪ Deliver outstanding teaching through planning and preparation of age-appropriate classes, which enthuses and inspires students to reach their potential and promote enjoyment of learning.
▪ Plan/participate in small exhibitions at the end of short courses (as appropriate) to display student work completed.
▪ Apply a variety of effective learning styles, materials, resources, approaches, and methods, having regard to the individual student’s learning needs and according to the course type as well as differentiating between learners’ needs.
▪ Support and encourage students’ progression into college programs.
▪ Investigate/research your subject area to ensure students are receiving up-to-date information, trends, methods of working, materials, and processes.
▪ Supervise students’ attendance and behaviour and follow up as appropriate, in accordance with the requirements of holiday course protocols.
▪ Supervise and accompany students on excursions/trips, as appropriate, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.
▪ Encourage students to participate in evening and weekend activities.
▪ Appropriately deal with student issues/emergencies as and when they arise.
▪ Contribute towards making a positive and productive physical environment that enhances learning.
▪ Attend all meetings when required, and attend Induction/training sessions as directed.
▪ Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and students when they are working within the College by consistent implementation of Health & Safety guidelines and risk assessments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
▪ Teaching experience 14+
▪ Teaching Qualification desirable but not necessary
▪ Ability to plan teaching plans thoroughly, including the ability to write, review, update and work to highly effective schemes of learning
▪ Strong general IT skills
▪ A logical, structured, and organised outlook on life with ability to prioritise own time
▪ High levels of energy, an even temper, and a sense of humour
▪ Ability to relate to young people
▪ Ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels (internal and external) to promote the college
▪ Ability and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment along with being internationally aware and culturally sensitive
▪ Ability to work as a team member and lead by example
▪ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
