Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Part time, term time only. Fixed Term (linked to pupil enrollment).
BCS Preparatory School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the educational experience and personal development of a pupil requiring individual support.
About the Role
Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider school staff, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Assist the pupil in accessing learning activities and the wider curriculum.
- Implement strategies and interventions as directed by teaching and SEND staff.
- Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records where required.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
Relevant qualifications and/or previous experience of working in a school environment is essential.
