Centric Learning is an online learning platform that emphasizes project-based learning. We offer live and asynchronous classes for 3-12 grade covering all major courses and electives.
We want an ELA expert to help us add to our already robust curriculum.
Curriculum developers work in collaboration with the Associate Director of Curriculum and other staff to create, revise and implement curriculum in our online project-based learning platform.
Major Responsibilities And Duties
- Design/revise projects for high school and middle school courses based on national and state standards.
- Translate deep subject matter knowledge in ELA curriculum and assessment to develop rigorous courses.
- Design dynamic projects that are relevant, motivating, and likely to engage students in active online learning.
- Scaffold projects to break down complex tasks and target diverse learning needs, styles, and interests.
- Revise and polish projects and assessments currently in progress.
- Utilize AI tools throughout every step of the development process.
- Work can be completed on your own time/schedule with weekly deadlines that must be met.
- Plan on 20 hours per week
- Training is provided for this contractual work.
Qualifications
- English and Language Arts expert with at least 2-3 years experience teaching ELA at the high school or middle school level required
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or similar required
- Experience with online learning and/or online curriculum development preferred
- Social Studies expertise in addition to ELA preferred
Location
100% remote, must have a dedicated, quiet workspace with a reliable computer and internet connection. Company hours are based in the Eastern time zone.
Pay
This part-time 1099 contract position is paid an hourly rate of $20/hour for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
