Job Description

About the Role
Content Editor at Chegg should be a highly motivated, creative, and patient individual with the right blend of subject knowledge and English language skills. The task essentially is to hone the presentation and language skills of in-house subject experts, who develop student-friendly content. The training imparted would encompass the four skills - Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
Content Editor should have the hawk’s-eye - an attention to detail in identifying errors in solutions, related to presentation and writing. In addition, Content Editor evaluates content from a holistic perspective, and makes necessary edits to maintain the overall quality for our international student base. Content Editor provides timely and constructive feedback to the experts.
Content Editor should be creative in designing posters, flyers, banners, etc. for company’s promotion –
develop interesting articles on the company events for Social Media sites.
As a team player – Content Editor should merge ideas with Co-Editors/Trainers and have an attitude for knowledge sharing and gaining.
Requisite Qualification:
A post graduate in any stream with high proficiency in English Language and a tinge of creativity.
Experience:
3 to 5 years in a similar platform - prior experience in Academic Hubs would be an added advantage.
Essential skills:
Knowledge of MS Office, WordPress, and Image Designing Tools like Canva, Photoshop etc.

Interpret the idea in simple and clear sentences.
Understand academic writing style & modify the content on the following aspects
(Grammar, spellings, and understandability quotient of the student).
Possess an understanding of internationally accepted Writing Style Guides.
Possess well-tuned English writing skills to write Articles / Company blogs etc. for
Social Media.
Presentation skills
Present ideas / concepts in a clear, concise, crisp, and student-friendly manner.
Teaching / Training skills
Understand the mindset as well as accent of the students from across the globe and train experts to develop content for the benefit of students.
Identify training needs and impart necessary training to experts.
Lend a patient ear to and provide live-help to the experts.
Discernment
Have the mental acumen to discern an erroneous solution and guide the experts in bringing out student-friendly and error-free solution.
Train the experts on identifying plagiarized content and develop zero-plagiarized content.
Critical Thinking / Analytical skills
Divide a solution into logical steps and ensure relevance of the solution to the question posed.
Break tough solutions into bite-size steps.
Editing, Proof Reading skills
Edit, proofread, and refine academic content in accordance with the Chegg
Standards.
Auditing skills
Audit content created by In-House experts and External experts on a regular basis to keep a track of the quality.
Documenting skills
Prepare documents for various production processes of the company.
Inter-personal skills
Approachable, amicably in building rapport with the experts
Efficient at remote linking with the rest of the team.
Image Designing Skills
Design posters, flyers, banners etc. to create brand awareness
