Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Tutor for our Elkhorn, Millard, and Boys Town regions. This is a part-time role. You will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to meet each student’s needs in core subjects such as math, reading, science, history, and others. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians regarding academic progress. Tutors will also assist students with study skills development and standardized test preparation.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in core academic subjects such as reading, mathematics, science, and history
  • Strong skills in developing student-specific strategies for standardized test prep including ACT and SAT
  • Excellent organization and communication skills to prepare lesson plans and provide feedback
  • Experience or certifications in teaching, tutoring, or educational mentoring
  • Passion for education with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for fostering academic self-confidence in students
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to fit individual learning styles and needs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, a related subject, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience in a one-on-one or small group setting is a plus
