The Accounting Manager is a key individual contributor responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. This role manages general ledger activities, supports financial reporting, leads the month-end close process, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support KnowFully Learning Group’s financial health. The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in audit preparation, budgeting support, and the implementation of process improvements—contributing to the organization’s overall financial efficiency and accuracy.

This position offers a starting salary of $110k per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision. life, disability, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. This position will start early June.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work model required. This role is expected to work remotely with an in-office presence at the Radnor, PA office once per week.
  • Additional flexibility may be required during peak reporting periods.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 3 direct reports

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger functions and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support the Controller in external audit processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the FP&A team to provide key financial data for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, and other key balance sheet items.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in the implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems; experience with ADP Workforce Now and NetSuite highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across functions and work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the company and department.
  • Ability to multitask and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required.

• Experience supporting audits and preparing financial reports in a growth-oriented environment.

• Exposure to both small and large business environments is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
