What’s the role about ?

Codecademy is actively expanding content operations in India, as part of our mission to deliver fresh, practicable, and high-quality technical learning to over fifty million learners across the globe. As manager of content operations, you will lead the setup and management of the content development unit in India. You will work with global and local stakeholders to drive the creation of technical articles, tutorials, and interactive courses amongst other content pieces. You can expect your work to revolve around :

  • Hiring, onboarding, and directly managing a team of content contributors in India, with the overall responsibility of establishing a high-performance organization
  • Leading high-impact projects to drive efficiency and quality across the content supply chain. Examples include process re-design to lower content production TAT, leveraging generative AI to optimize workflows, and setting up effective content analytics
  • Project managing and coordinating all content development in India, to ensure consistent and timely execution of assigned content projects
  • Co-designing content strategy, in collaboration with content curriculum team and marketing teams, basis learner needs and overall business objectives such as SEO

In India, you will be working with a high pedigree team, with prior experience across leading consulting firms (e.g. Bain, Kearney), educational institutes (e.g. Harvard, IIM, SRCC, VIT), and high growth startups (e.g. Rocket Internet, Emeritus, GoKwik).

What do you need ?

We’re looking for a rockstar generalist who is excited about establishing and leading a content operations team in India from the ground up. The role demands an ability to dive into operational details while being able to maintain a big-picture, strategic perspective. Here’s what we’re expecting :

  • 3-5 years of experience across management consulting, operations management, CEO’s office, or biz ops roles
  • Proven record of managing complex projects across business functions/geographies
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and executing strategic initiatives end to end
  • Background in CS and/or a high-level understanding of tech and programming concepts
  • Strong drive to work in unstructured and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of ‘steep slope’ learning ability and ownership mindset
