Job Title: Senior Product Designer (UX Writer) - India
Job Description:
As a Senior UX Content Writer you will play a critical role in crafting content that guides users through their digital journeys, maintains platform-wide consistency, and ensures a superior user experience. Working collaboratively with content strategy, product designers, and researchers, you will create content for various end-to-end journeys, error messages, emails, promotional content, FAQs, and self-service resources. Your responsibilities will encompass content review, compliance with content guidelines, and contributing to QA testing.
In this role, you will…
- Content Creation: Write and edit content for screen flows, emails, error messages, and promotional content, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and user-friendliness.
- Compliance and Consistency: Ensure content aligns with internal content guidelines (ICGs) and maintains platform-wide consistency.
- QA Testing: Assist in content review during QA testing and fine-tune content as necessary.
- User Journey Simplification: Write clear and concise instructions to simplify user journeys and guide users through transaction flows.
- FAQ and Self-Service Content: Create content for FAQs and self-service resources to aid users.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills, along with demonstrated professional experience in writing UX and marketing content for various platforms.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and guide users effectively.
- Experience developing content for emails, error messages, and FAQs.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant UX content work, including case studies and UX writing.
You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…
- 7+ years of experience in UX writing/UX content design, focusing on complex software products or digital experiences.
- A high level of attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs for internal and external customers.
- A solid understanding of current design thinking, UX content design best practices, and a user-centric approach.
- Knowledge and a point of view on the influential role of words and visual language in software products and digital experiences.
- Familiarity and comfort working with a geographically distributed team.
- Experience collaborating with UX designers, researchers, developers, product owners, and product managers within a UX/design, creative, marketing, or similar setting.
- Understanding of the importance of tracking UX success through research mechanisms, balance of qualitative and quantitative outcomes, and the ability to influence peers based on research/analytics outcomes.
Preferred Experience/Familiarity:
- AODA and/or WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility guidelines for UX content.
- Familiarity with agile task management platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, etc.
- Methods for tracking and measuring UX content success and impact.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in writing, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
