Job Overview
We are looking for a senior leader (Director/AVP level) to lead Tutor Community Operations at Cuemath. This person will own end-to-end tutor community operations and will be responsible for execution on ground, operational excellence, and building a strong tutor culture aligned with Cuemath’s mission of Math Fitness.
This role requires strong leadership, structured thinking, high ownership, and excellent communication skills. The person should understand education deeply and should have experience working closely with teachers/tutors/students.
Key Responsibilities
1) Tutor Community Operations Leadership
- Own and lead end-to-end tutor community operations.
- Drive smooth operations across onboarding, engagement, performance, retention, and issue resolution.
- Build scalable systems and processes to manage a large tutor community.
2) Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the tutor community operations team.
- Drive strong team execution, accountability, and performance.
- Act as the central leader for the community ops vertical.
3) Process Excellence & Scaling
- Create and improve SOPs, workflows, and operational frameworks.
- Identify gaps in operations and implement scalable improvements.
- Ensure operational efficiency without compromising tutor experience.
4) Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Strong communication is critical — this person will interact with tutors at scale.
- Represent leadership’s direction clearly to the tutor community.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Hiring, Training & Quality, Product, Tech, etc.) to solve issues and improve operations.
5) Mission, Culture & Community Ownership
- Be the “voice of leadership on ground”.
- Drive community culture, engagement quality, and tutor alignment with Cuemath’s values.
- Build a strong, mission-driven tutor community.
Key Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
- STEM background (non-negotiable)
- Teaching/education background (non-negotiable)
- Strong understanding of tutors/teaching/students/education ecosystem
- Excellent communication skills (non-negotiable)
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- High ownership, structured execution mindset, and ability to scale operations
Good to Have
- Experience in ed-tech or large teacher/tutor operations
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort with operational metrics
- Experience building teams and processes from scratch
