Cuemath is a global math learning platform on a mission to make every child MathFit. We work with 3,500+ tutors across 30+ countries, scaling to 10,000 by end of 2026. Our Tutor Success team is the backbone of this mission — ensuring every tutor delivers world-class learning experiences.

The Role

We are looking for an AVP, Community Operations to lead and own the entire tutor community lifecycle — compliance, performance, engagement, communications, and day-to-day operations for 3,500+ tutors globally. This is a high-ownership leadership role reporting to the SVP, Tutor Success.

What You Will Own

  • End-to-end community operations — compliance, performance management, engagement, and communications for 3,500+ tutors teaching across 30+ countries
  • Host and run tutor town halls (1,000–2,000 attendees), webinars, and community engagement sessions
  • Drive tutor retention by ensuring adoption of best practices, training completion, and student retention metrics
  • Own the GTM for all tutor-facing initiatives — creatives, videos, WhatsApp campaigns, email communications, story publishing
  • Manage consequence frameworks for non-compliance and recognition programs for high performers
  • Use AI tools (Claude Code, automation platforms) for content creation, planning, data-driven decisions, and operational efficiency
  • Be the strategic partner to leadership on community health, tutor sentiment, and scaling operations

Who You Are

  • 10-12 years in community management, operations, or customer success — preferably in education, ed-tech, or a tutor/teacher-facing environment
  • Deep understanding of the teacher and tutor mindset — you know what motivates educators and how to build trust at scale
  • Direct experience working with students, parents, or teachers in an educational setting
  • Exceptional communicator — crisp writing, confident public speaking, comfortable hosting large webinars and handling difficult conversations
  • Strategic thinker — you design the playbook, not just executeit
  • Tech-savvy and AI-curious — comfortable adopting AI tools for daily work; willingness to learn and integrate Claude Code into workflows
  • Confident, mature, and decisive — brings gravitas, can represent the team externally across geographies
  • Strong customer-facing personality — builds rapport with tutors across cultures and regions

Preferred Background

  • Education, ed-tech, or learning platforms (B2C or marketplace models)
  • Community management at scale (1,000+ members)
  • Exposure to compliance systems, performance frameworks, or quality programs
