The Role in Brief:
Associate Director, Product Marketing (Uniformed Services)
EAB is looking for a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial marketer to lead product marketing for uniformed services recruitment partnerships. EAB is helping to recruit the nation’s next generation of service members for local, state, and national roles in the armed forces.
The ideal candidate will play an important role in shaping the go-to-market strategy for a fast-growing product. They will work closely with sellers at all stages of the funnel, developing both high-impact brand awareness content and highly customized sales proposals that close deals. This role is an opportunity help define market positioning and value proposition. We are looking for someone with talent, initiative, vision, and an ability to execute.
Product marketers at EAB develop content and strategies to increase brand awareness, drive demand and sales, and support partner success. This includes developing thought leadership content such as insight papers, blog posts, infographics, videos, and webinar decks as well as sales enablement collateral such as one-pagers, sales decks, proposals, and urgency documents.
In addition to a passion for writing, a love for big ideas, and a graphical eye, to be successful in the role, one must have excellent collaboration and project management skills. This hire may be based in Washington, DC or Richmond, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Shaping Marketing Strategy
- Inflect sales and renewals by contributing to compelling marketing plans based on a deep understanding of buyer journeys and personas; develop creative solutions to challenges facing commercial teams.
- Create compelling, personalized, and persuasive proposals while building the infrastructure to support sales enablement at scale.
- Prioritize project queue to support short-term sales objectives while driving long-term strategic projects forward.
- Develop insights into the armed forces market through market research and competitive analysis and disseminates it to relevant teams to inform strategy.
- Creating Content
- Write, produce, and edit content that could include blog posts, case studies, proposals, insight papers, webinars, infographics, video testimonials, executive briefings, reference webinars, sales decks, scripts, brochures, executive summaries, website content, furthering tools, urgency documents, and other collateral.
- Develop and maintain a content library to ensure accuracy and freshness while managing a content calendar to prioritize and plan for future content needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, legal, infosec, etc. to create highly technical and accurate content in response to customer requirements.
- Interpret complex issues and present them effectively; adapt style, tone, and word choice to various media.
- Proactively edit existing collateral and/or scripting to reflect latest market intelligence.
- Achieve high standards of quality, productivity, and timeliness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 - 6+ years professional experience in product marketing, content strategy, research, writing, or sales enablement role.
- Able to clearly and precisely express complex ideas in written and graphical form; skilled at adapting language, format, and style for various media and audiences.
- Able to take ownership and drive projects from beginning to end, working with multiple groups effectively and on multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Intellectually curious, independent, quick study, creative, attentive to detail, self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, or communications.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the armed forces.
- Experience in a marketing, proposal, or related role with a government contractor.
- Experience working in a team environment, as well as independently and autonomously.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives in both oral and written formats.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects and meeting deadlines.

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
