Technical Intern, Summer, 2026
What You'll Do
The intern will join Team Hosting Hub, contributing to the FOLIO Operational Portal project. In this role, the intern will design, develop, and test new portal features based on specifications provided by the Product Owner. Development will include both backend components (Java) and frontend functionality (React, TypeScript).
Additionally, the intern will be responsible for implementing automated test cases using the Cypress framework to ensure product quality and reliability.
The intern will work under the guidance of the Team Lead and Development Manager and will be supported by a “buddy”—a developer working closely day-to-day—and a “mentor”, who will be a senior technical staff member or Development Manager.

About You
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
- Completed coursework in algorithms and data structures
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Familiarity with React and JavaScript
- Experience using GitHub for source code management
- Familiarity with AWS services
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline implementation (preferably with Jenkins)
- Understanding of Agile software development practices
What sets you apart:
- Candidates who have previously successfully completed an internship with EBSCO Information Services will be given preference
Prior experience with EBSCO’s systems, tools, and development practices demonstrates readiness to contribute effectively from day one and a proven ability to thrive in our collaborative environment.
