Job Title: Research Director
Department: RW Jones Agency

Reports to: Vice President, Research
Who You Are
RW Jones Agency seeks a Research Director, with expertise in market and brand research in higher education. The successful candidate will direct and facilitate multiple research projects that involve qualitative data collection and analysis (e.g., interviews and focus groups), quantitative data collection and analysis (e.g., surveys), data visualization, scientific writing, and presentation development. Competitive candidates for this position will have notable experience in several of these areas and be willing to grow in the others. The Research Director will collaborate with various internal and external key players, including campus representatives, project leads, and data analysts team members, to ensure that all deliverables meet RW Jones’ high standards and align with client needs.
Here are the abilities that we seek out:
Manage research project planning and execution under the guidance of the VP/Managing Director of Research, including:
- Develop comprehensive research strategies and timelines
- Facilitate input from campus stakeholders
- Develop focus group or interview guides and survey instruments
- Online survey programming
- Monitor data collection
Collaborate with other members of the research team, including project managers, analysts, and brand strategists to:
- Ensure accurate and efficient use of data across various projects
- Assist in identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements within the research process, data analysis, and reporting workflows
Meet client services standards set forth by the agency, including establishing regular meeting cadence, communications, and timelines.
- Maintain communication with campus stakeholders
- Develop and deliver final client deliverables (e.g., written reports & presentations)

Qualifications
What You Offer
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a research-related field
Experience
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and interpersonal), and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a relatively fast-paced environment using customer service best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Comfort with scientific writing and presentations
- Comfort presenting to campus leaders
- Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., Asana)
- Proficiency in analyzing qualitative data
- Proficiency in analyzing quantitative data
- Proficiency programming surveys in Qualtrics
- Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Atlas.TI)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
