Program Details: Our Early Learning programs support children, families and child care providers. Our Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education programs focus on children ages 3 to 5 who are experiencing disabilities.
Substitute instructional Assistant Job Description: Perform a variety of duties in assisting a licensed teacher in the support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and supports planned activities designated by a licensed teacher. Helps maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.
Substitute Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) Qualifications:
- Pass an FBI and Oregon Criminal Background Clearance
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED may be required
Substitute Teacher Qualifications: Substitute Teachers must have a Bachelors degree and apply for or possess a valid Oregon Teaching or Substitute Teaching License. Licensing is completed via the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and must be obtained before one is qualified to work as a Substitute Teacher.
