Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Step into classrooms confidently to deliver lessons and activities aligned with existing curriculum plans.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, respectful, and organized environment conducive to learning.
- Assist with lesson planning, adapting instructional materials as needed to meet diverse student needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities.
- Engage students in literacy, math, and other core subjects through interactive teaching methods.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote a respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of instruction during absences.
- Support students’ social-emotional development by providing encouragement and guidance tailored to their individual needs.
- Maintain clear communication with school personnel regarding student progress or any concerns that arise during your shift.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to childcare, daycare, preschool, Montessori, or private school environments.
- Demonstrate flexibility by covering different classrooms or grade levels as needed, including toddler care or preschool settings.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and experience working with children across various age groups.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with special education, working with children with autism or other disabilities, and implementing inclusive teaching practices.
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods, and preschool curricula.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining high standards of instruction and safety.
- Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people with disabilities or special needs populations.
