The Opportunity:
As an Account Manager for the Partnerships team, you will use your keen attention to detail and passion for travel to support our Partners with all aspects of their tour. You want to understand the minutiae of every trip, follow-through with every action item, and go above and beyond to ensure customers have a great experience leading up to departure. Your role is very customer-facing and as such, needs to be quick and efficient with customer requests while also providing proactive, anticipatory service. Additionally, this role is instrumental in developing new resources, processes, and initiatives to strengthen the mission of the Partnerships team as it seeks to expand the reach of EF Go Ahead Tours into new markets of business.
You will report to the Head of Partnerships who will be your coach and mentor, developing you into a successful team member. Together, with other team members, you will collaborate to identify new partnership opportunities, develop sales strategy, collaborate on systems integration, develop new resources, and establish communication plans. As the Partnerships team continues to grow, you will be a necessary stakeholder into how the team supports the partners strategically and creatively.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product, processes, and internal systems
- Speak with customers regarding inquiries about booking, payments, passports, flights, health notes, and other pre-departure topics
- Set correct expectations by providing detailed information to travelers to ensure they have a full understanding of each component of the trip prior to their tour
- Initiate and follow-up on customer requests with other Go Ahead departments
- Manage ongoing projects with new and existing partners
- Support partners by assisting with resource development for customers
- Provide additional support documents as needed per partner, such as group balance sheets, creative materials, traveler info sheets, etc.
- Travel to various conferences and/or in-person customer meetings to present to potential travelers
Qualifications:
- A college grad with 2+ years of experience
- A self-starter who dives headfirst into difficult tasks
- A lover of details
- A hyper-organizer who can prioritize a variety of tasks
- A positive presence with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of customer and coworker personalities
- A creative solutions-finder
