Your Role

 

As an Operations Coordinator in our Transportation department, you will be responsible for reproducing safe, seamless and cost-effective solutions to our customers studying in our Language Campuses across the UK & Ireland. Alongside the Transportation Manager, you will coordinate the London City Stay program for a selection of UK courses, supporting a team of international leaders to ensure our students have a smooth and unforgettable experience in London.

 

You will work closely with our local suppliers and campuses, as well as our sales offices and flight departments across the world and head office in Switzerland. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail. You are also a deadline driven and self-motivated problem solver with entrepreneurial spirit who likes challenges and believes “nothing is impossible”.

 

This is a full time and fixed term position running from January to September 2024, with potential for full time permanent employment upon completion of contract.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Planning and booking overnight stays, meals for student groups in London – average of 2,500 students after the end of their language course
  • Maintain and develop relationships with local suppliers in UK & Ireland
  • Plan, consolidate and book cost-effective transportation solutions
  • Develop and improve the overall customer experience of arrival and transportation services
  • Invoicing
  • Emergency phone duties during peak period
  • Assist with financial & quality analysis

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience within travel, operations, hospitality industry in student sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An analytical mind set
  • Strong knowledge of the surroundings of London
  • Capable of using own initiative and being decisive
  • A skilled negotiator
  • Multitasking and Flexibility (weekend work during peak months of July & August - days back in lieu)
  • Willingness to learn and open to feedback
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Fluency in English
