Cultural Care Au Pair
M-F 40 hours per week
July – December 2024
About Cultural Care Au Pair
Cultural Care Au Pair is a cultural exchange program and is a part of the EF Education First family of companies. We believe that cultural exchange has the power to make the world a more welcoming, understanding, and open place. We build global families by bringing together au pairs with American host families—providing meaningful childcare for families, an unforgettable year in the U.S.A. for au pairs, and a culturally enriching experience for both parties.
The Event Coordinator Co-op is a fast-paced position working at the crossroads of events, customer service and project management. You will play an important role in executing the logistics for a variety of domestic and international events including a series of incentive trips for our local representatives, staff trainings and conferences, and local events for our customers.
The role:
Your days will bustle with activity as we strive to achieve our global goal of being the largest and most trusted au pair program in the world. You’ll spend your time requesting proposals from venues and quotes from vendors to help plan memorable trips and effective conferences and meetings for our independent contractors and staff. You will help respond to questions from our local representatives and staff, and keep logistics organized for a flawless execution. You may even have the opportunity to attend an event and represent the organization in person.
If you are super organized, have good customer service skills and enjoy juggling a variety of different tasks and projects to meet deadlines, this could be the role for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
Communications -
  • Monitoring and responding to questions and requests from our independent contractors (Local Childcare Consultants, or LCCs)
  • Crafting well-written and impactful communications for event participants
  • Coordinating with venue and vendor contacts throughout the event planning process to achieve event objectives.
Event support -
  • Request and evaluate venue proposals
  • Coordinate print or swag projects related to local events
  • Review and code expenses to align with our budgets
  • Assist with logistics such as flight manifests, rooming lists, menu and décor coordination and more.
About you -
  • You are an enthusiastic team player and love to collaborate on projects with peers and team leaders. At the same time, you can work independently toward a clear set of goals.
  • You are extremely organized and adept at learning and using digital tools to get projects completed. You have experience with Word, Excel, and maybe even a project management system like Trello or Asana.
  • You enjoy writing and you’re a strong written and verbal communicator.
  • You strongly believe that cultural exchange makes the world a better place.
EF Boston Co-Op Development Program:
As a co-op at EF Boston you'll participate in our Co-Op development program, designed specifically for undergraduates in our North American headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
EF's co-op program includes 3 building blocks: LEARN, BUILD & DRIVE.
  • LEARN business acumen and professional development skills.
  • BUILD a worldwide network of leaders, mentors, and peers.
  • DRIVE projects that have a global impact.
