As a senior Efekta Finance lead you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Efekta Group finance work such as consolidations, cost allocations and special projects (including M&A) across Efekta products and markets. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders from the Product presidents, EF Central Finance, Efekta function heads and various budget owners across the business. This role provides a chance to contribute to our creation of Efekta as a consolidated group and drive the group growth and profitability.

Both Consumers and Businesses continue to invest in this area with the aim to improve their own or their employee’s career prospects. Efekta operates across the globe in both the B2C, B2B and B2S space, but there are several further new geographical markets where Efekta can either expand or enter which is part of the exciting opportunity that Efekta presents. There are also several new opportunities and challenges presented by AI which Efekta is focused on capitalising on.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the Efekta Group and ensure a standard and efficient process and approach is implemented
  • Prepare consolidated business and financial reports in accordance with corporate reporting requirements and in accordance with UK GAAP /FRS102 (eventually IFRS) for both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Generate at least quarterly Efekta Group operating financials under EF GAP and generate a consolidated forecast
  • Implement Efekta KPI reporting to ensure focus on growth and profitability
  • Provide oversight and tracking of all Efekta cost items and associated allocations as well as be the liaison between EF Central and Efekta for any EF allocations
  • Oversee the Controller functions for common Efekta functions such as EdTech, Business Systems, Marketing and Teacher Services
  • Prepare annual incentive schemes, and calculate quarterly commission and annual bonuses as required for Efekta Central Management
  • Enforce Efekta corporate business policies and support efficient controls and risk management
  • Oversee Efekta Finance Governance and Controls
  • Project manage any M&A activity
  • Be involved in structure and tax discussions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Our ideal candidate for this role will:
  • Be educated to at least degree level or equivalent experience
  • Have financial analysis and specific FP&A experience (7+ years)
  • Be a qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA accountant (or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Have the ability to analyse, interpret and present financial information accurately with superior attention to detail
  • Possess strong inter-personal skills, with an ability to confidently challenge senior leaders, as well as the board where appropriate; have the ability to quickly gain credibility and respect from highly qualified professionals
  • Be a performance driven self-starter with independent analytical and problem-solving ability, alongside the sense to understand the implications of their work and probe more deeply when presented with inconsistent or interesting findings
  • Be a strong team player with a sense of ownership and initiative to drive tasks and project to completion
  • High Attention to detail and extremely well organised with solid planning and execution skills
  • Entrepreneurial in mindset - asking challenging ‘why not’ questions, suggesting new routes to success. Ability to solve problems creatively and collaborate cross-functionally to get the job done
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning and challenging the status quo, for example being comfortable with identifying knowledge gaps and using relationships, media to self-learn, then challenge the “experts”
